The Karl and Mary Lauble Family in 1899 My Great-grandfather Karl Lauble was born March 3, 1859 in Guttach, Germany and immigrated to the U.S. in 1878. He met Maria Mebs who was born February 20, 1863 in Mergentheim, Germany and had immigrated to the U.S. in 1884. They married January 30, 1886 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Philadelphia. In the picture the children are from left to right Charles, Lena, Anna, William and Mary. At this time they where farming just outside of Newtown, Pa. on what is now Goodnoe's Restaurant and the shopping center.

My Mother and Father at Richboro farm
about 1936! My father was born in Newtown and raised on a farm. My
mother was born in Philadelphia and as a young girl moved to Willow Grove. They
met at Willow Grove Park and where married September 14, 1934. They lived at the
farm for a while and then moved to Langhorne where they remained. My father had
a trucking business until 1955, when he went to work for Kaufman Brothers
Contractors.

Family
picture in Living Room at our Langhorne home about 1950, Mom, Dad,
Ardelle and Francis and I in front. These were much simpler times with many of
today's amenities not even thought of yet. One of our enjoyments, listening to
the radio with such great shows as, The Shadow , The Lone Ranger, Sergeant
Preston of the Yukon, and Amos and Andy. We actually looked forward to them and
played cards or board games while listening and became a family.
Five
Generations, my Great-grandmother Mary, Grandfather William, Dad,
sister Ardelle with her daughter Jenifer being held by GGGMother. This was taken
at my Great-grandmother's home on North State Street in Newtown, Pa. in 1957
when she was 95 years old. She lived to the ripe old age of 101, and got to see
a few Great-great-grandchildren. She was alert to the end and loved to read
newspapers and the Bible.
Christmas
Dinner 1991, at my sister Ardelle and Brother-in- law Herman's home.
For our family Christmas and Thanksgiving have always been a time of of
gathering together, dinning, remembrance, and good old fashioned enjoyments.
This tradition, mainly through the efforts of my sister, has been kept alive and
well and is appreciated by us all. In this photo three of my Mother's
Great-Grandchildren are present, my mother is on the far right. She loved all
her family and lived for us.
From
left to right Shawn our son's friend, Karl our son, Sheena our daughter's
friend, and daughter Brooke. Taken at the Strasburg Railroad Station in
Lancaster County on one of our many outings there. The little soldiers look
serious enough, the girls look beautiful. I still enjoy the ride through
Lancaster County from Strasburg to Paradise on the old steam train. Maybe some
day in the future, I'll grow up, and not want to hear the steam whistle echo
through the valley and the click clack of the wheels on the rails.
